How Much Are Social Media Interruptions Costing Your Brand? (Infographic)

Whether you work in an office environment or you work at home, interruptions are inevitable.

On average, we’re interrupted once every 10.5 minutes. Yikes!

Whether I’ve been interrupted by a situation out of my control, or I’ve randomly decided to interrupt myself (which happens more often than I care to admit), the interruption usually turns into a small phase of procrastination.

And where do most of us go while procrastinating? To our inboxes, our Facebook accounts, and our Twitter feeds.

It takes an average of 23 minutes for us to get back to our assigned/chosen task after an interruption, and interruptions are going to cost the American economy almost $650 billion annually.

Double yikes! Below is a fabulous infographic that says it all.
