Subway was far and away the most loved fast food chain over the last 12 months, with 83% of opinions on social media expressing love for the sandwich giant ( http://bit.ly/nRWdX0 ). Only Popeye’s (AFCE) was close to receiving as much love. 79% of comments about the Cajun chicken specialist were positive over the 12 months.

Taco Bell (YUM) had been the most popular fast food chain heading into 2011. But the Mexican-style food chain suffered a fall from grace in early 2011 when a scandal concerning the meat contents of its ground beef tacos dented its popularity on social media.
