About Lori and her Direct Response 3.0 Social Media Agency, Rev Media

The best way to have a massive impact on the world doesn’t come from playing it safe. Too many people today hedge their bets with plan B’s, C’s and even D’s. It gets so convoluted at times you forget what plan A even was.

Playing to win means you keep your eye on the ball and you swing for the fences. And while winning might not be everything, I believe wanting to is!

Just like the famous beloved champion race horse Secretariat knew that magical day when he won the Triple crown, averaging speeds of 37.5 miles per hour, out in front the entire time racing only the wind and crossing the finish line 31 lengths ahead of the nearest horse…

Only you set the limits of what you can do!

Unshackling my soul from the corporate world with a leap of faith in 2009 I started my own direct response focused social media agency in Cincinnati, REV Media Marketing LLC, coining the phrase given to me by my young son, “You bring the rain, we’ll make it pour.” I learned to run my own race from my heart, with the mantra, “say what you do and do what you say, and always show people you care.”

Everything I do is fueled by these beliefs. From angel investing in disruptive startups (like Klout) to motivational speaking to marketing consulting, I always want to challenge myself, my friends and my clients to “run your own race” ; cautioning you to never change who you are.

Social Caffeine™ is the platform I’ve created to bring these beliefs to life – to your brand,. Specializing in Social Caffeine™, a personalized, premium grade approach to social networking and digital brand management that captivates the hearts and minds of your audience. Social Caffeine™ is social media with soul that energizes to monetize your message and makes your brand buzz worthy.

Social Caffeine is a different and better brew because it…

* Advocates personality over conformity

* Understands good outcomes require smart processes

* Concentrates on brand potency, not brand commoditization

Recently a client asked me how much it would cost and if could I guarantee results.  They wanted me to promise I could transform their marketing strategy into a heartfelt game changer that went viral all over the web.

And I gave them the same answer I’d give to anyone who asked….

“Going viral is not an outcome; it’s a happening. Sometimes it happens; sometimes it doesn’t.  Just remember, fans are vanity and sales are sanity. It’s up to you how crazy you can afford to be. Focus on being extraordinary but relevant to build the best buzz for your brand you can.”

Buzz About Lori

Lori R Taylor believes in emboldening others to give voice and energy to their game-changing ideas. This commitment to always playing by her heart is probably why she made the list at as a top 50 Social Media Power Influencer.

She credits her social media savvy being born in part from her accomplished 20 year direct response marketing career.  For Disabled American Veterans alone, Lori created campaigns over the last 17 years that have raised almost 3 billion dollars.

Lori’s belief that you always give what you can with no expectation to receive ensures she over delivers to her networks. This attitude has catapulted her to the top of a very crowded space and given her status as one of the top influencers in her field. In fact, in 2011 Mari Smith, the pied piper of Facebook according to Fast Company, listed Lori as a Top 10 Social Media Superstar saying, “Lori Taylor – another bright light in the online world, Lori shares an abundance of helpful social media tips and resources and always has something positive to say.”

Lori was also recently named to the board of the prestigious California’s Women’s Conference, the largest women’s conference in the world. With past speakers such as Oprah, Michelle Obama, Katie Couric and Diane Sawyer, Lori is looking forward to being a featured speaker at the event in September 2012.

Lori has graced the stage with world renowned motivational speakers Les Brown, John Assaraf, Greg Reid, Gary Goldstein, Rhonda Britten, and Mari Smith. Lori cherishes these opportunities to inspire new and amazing audiences with her beliefs and teachings, showcasing her talent for easily connecting with any audience.

More than anything, Lori is beloved for her conversational approach and writing style. She’s always hopeful and honest, and respects that “why you should” do something comes before “how to” do it. Mari Smith perhaps described Lori best when she said “Another bright light in the online world, Lori shares an abundance of helpful social media tips and resources and always has something positive to say.”

David Masters

David is our lead writer, idea spinner and super-blogger. A former newshound, he loves chasing down stories of businesses who are doing social media right and sharing those stories with the world.

As he pens thousands of words every day you’ll find his inky fingerprints all over the web at blogs from ProBlogger to Men with Pens to The Change Blog. WordPress is pretty much his second home.

When he’s not writing, he likes drinking hot chocolate, people watching and reading books on anything except math or biology. All this reading helps him work out what makes people buzz, so he becomes a better marketer and writer.

He’s British, and he lives in Wales, but we don’t hold that against him.

Krissy Brady

Krissy Brady is a freelance writer from Gravenhurst, Ontario.

In print, she writes for women who are driven: the ones who frequently allow ambition and health to collide. Her articles have appeared in Women’s Health and Writer’s Market.

On screen, she writes about women who are complicated: the ones who are a smorgasbord of emotional baggage. She’s currently writing her first feature, Throwing Out and Up.

Like the women she writes for, she wants to have it all, but first needs to figure out what that means.
